Work Experience and Training

    • Currently studying for a Masters in Arts, Health and Wellbeing at the University of South Wales.

    • Regularly work as a facilitator for Arts Therapies UK, designing & delivering arts and wellbeing workshops for adults and children.

      I have worked delivering creative writing, drama and craft workshops in:

      • secure units for Odd Arts UK.

      • mental health facilitates for Women&Theatre.

      • colleges, schools and in the community for Birmingham City Council Libraries, Arts Therapies UK (BCAT), HOMEmcr, Women&Theatre, Ifa Yoruba Contemporary Arts, The Lowry Theatre Young Carers’ Program, Odd Arts, Manchester City Council, Hope Mill Theatre and charities Anawim - Birmingham Women’s Centre, Manchester Rape Crisis, MASH project. 

      These workshops have spanned a wide variety of themes and aims often of a sensitive nature. 

      I can design and deliver a workshop to suit a variety of requirements.

      Training.

    Prices.

    • 1.5 hour workshop: £75

    • Short Course of up to 6 weeks: £450

    • Long term ongoing group work: Fees on request.

    • Specific project resulting in a product: at least £100 delivery time per hour. Price will be set in accordance with aims of the project.

    Fees are negotiable. Prices include preparation and expenses.

  • Since 2021, DS have been used in NHS Wales as ‘a key way of capturing feedback and learning to improve our services.’ (Thimbleby, 2021, p. 4) and ‘give the storyteller a voice and provide invaluable insights on how we can improve on many different aspects of our health services’ (Thimbleby, 2021, p. 5)

    • I create digital stories and aim to be part of delivering these projects to improve communication and wellbeing in healthcare settings.

      I am currently developing this work as part of my MA in Arts Health and Wellbeing, exploring the theme of communication in healthcare settings.

    One Good Night (Manchester 2020) had a 4* 5 night run in Manchester at Hope Mill Theatre, 2020. The play tackled the affects of sexual assault in a darkly humorous way.

    I have written a collection of monologues and short plays for stage.

    I do write alone but LOVE writing and creating with others, so if you are interested in collaboration please do not hesitate to contact me.

    All fees would be Writers Guild UK approved and I would be open to collaborating on applying for funding.
